Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Initiatives Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with expertise in Six Sigma methodologies and a passion for driving transformational change. This role involves leading key IT processes and initiatives to enhance service levels for our customers while managing a team in IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute cross-functional Six Sigma quality projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct thorough data collection, analysis, and implementation of improvement recommendations.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and engage in major process reengineering activities.
- Develop and deliver training programs, including Black Belt and Master Black Belt certification courses.
- Create and present project deliverables and recommendations to senior management and executives.
- Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide consulting support.
- Manage and mentor a team of Black Belts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Oversee the team's Quality Development Leadership (QDL) activities to ensure alignment with IT goals and objectives.
- Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team effectiveness and goal achievement.
- Coordinate resource allocation and project assignments to optimize team productivity and impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Black Belt certification.
- Experience in a technology-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
