About the role
Burn is looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and machinery.

Burn is looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to preventive maintenance and breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve, with minimal downtime to production.
- Assist in carrying out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner.
- Carry out maintenance repairs of mechanical machines.
- Resolve mechanical problems.
- Collaborate to reducing repair times in relation to machine downtime.
- Monitor and maintain records on the utilities’ usage.
- Keep maintenance logs.
- Should be able to work on shift basis
- Ensure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, EHS.
- Any other job as may be assigned by management.
Skills and Experience
- OND in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing sector
- Understanding of Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses
