Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading complex quality assurance projects and initiatives. This role involves conducting advanced quality inspections, performing in-depth data analysis, and developing strategies to improve product quality and manufacturing processes. The Quality Engineer works closely with cross functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves providing technical expertise to support continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate quality issues and recommendations to management
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement quality improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Act as a liaison between quality control and other departments
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports
  • Complete and assist PPAP (production part approval process) for purchased parts
  • Perform GAP Analysis / Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) to drive Daily/Weekly/Monthly Audits to improve product quality
  • Identify impact of engineering change notifications and determine any steps necessary for change authorization with internal stakeholder alignment
  • Support company goals and objectives as required

Quality Analysis:

• Analyze and interpret data to assess product and service quality

• Identify trends and patterns in quality data

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues

• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions

Quality Control:

• Review and approve quality documents and procedures

• Perform quality checks on products and services

• Monitor and track quality control metrics

• Conduct quality control audits and inspections

• Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of quality control activities

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing Quality environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience  
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis techniques and software
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task to develop and produce accurate, professional, and error-free documents on a timely basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of PCBA and electronic manufacturing
