Arenko is an Energy Tech company using advanced software to optimise energy storage, making electricity grids more flexible, reliable, and zero-carbon. Our platform enables grid operators (such as National Grid in the UK) and asset owners to maximise efficiency and revenue in an evolving energy landscape.
The Role:
The Account Manager is responsible for developing and expanding strong relationships with multiple existing and new clients to achieve business revenue growth targets. They are a brand ambassador who provide ongoing support for client needs, ensure contractual commitments are adhered to and work with client and internal teams to identify and realise growth opportunities.
What you will be doing:
- Mobilise and onboard new clients - from contract signature through to in-life operation.
- Champion Arenko as a brand ambassador.
- Identify and develop new revenue opportunities.
- Establish and develop strategic account plans for each customer - own the relationships throughout the life of the contract to maximise value and meeting all contractual obligations
- Monitor account performance – proactively, using Arenko proprietary software
Increase client satisfaction and expand existing client relationships by implementing contact plans across all levels of the client’s organisational structures.
- Organise annual planning sessions between client C level teams and the Arenko SLT/P&T teams.
- Manage and coordinate across internal teams to resolve client issues & concerns, including working closely with Helpdesk, Product, Engineering and Finance teams to ensure satisfactory resolution to technical and administrative challenges.
- Liaise with third parties to understand and meet customer needs (NESO, partners etc).
- Advocate internally for client needs and preferences, including acting as a champion for new products and features that increases client satisfaction and the ROI of their low carbon assets.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and payment from the customer - Working with Finance.
- Keep updated on all market, policy and regulation changes that might affect Arenko and/or our clients and communicate these effectively across parties.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
What we are looking for
- Min 5 years account management experience - (as Account Exec or Account Manager).
- Experience of working in the renewable energy sector, preferably with flexible assets e.g. energy storage
- Commercial Acumen: Experience of contract renewal/negotiation and deal expansion (upsell/cross-sell) for enterprise-scale (multi £m) SaaS customers
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel & Powerpoint), Google suite, Salesforce and sales processes.
- Preferable: Proven experience and track record in a sales role - selling enterprise SaaS products and managing accounts with an ARR in excess of £1m
- Preferable: Strong interest in or a degree related to renewable energy.

- Commercial acumen & financially numerate - ability to ‘join the dots’ across multiple conversations and secure commercial advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills - to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all stakeholder levels and with cross-functional teams to build credibility and strong relationships at all levels internally and externally).
- Attention to detail – ensure accuracy in all tasks, comprehend contractual clauses/nuances and pick up opportunities.
- Very strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to successfully prioritise and manage multiple urgent tasks to tight timelines
- Collaborative approach – team player that is always thinking about how to add value to the customer, Arenko and to create win-win opportunities.
