Position: Technical Product Manager
Reports To: CEO

Coreshell's metallurgical Silicon anode technology delivers high capacity, fast-charging, and superior safety. Our low-cost liquid-phase nano-coating addresses critical electrode-surface degradation issues and enables batteries with a Silicon-dominant anode that have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost/kWh compared to current LIBs. Our Si anode material is 50% the cost of graphite and 100% domestically sourced. We strive to transform the global automotive market by enabling low-cost and long-range EVs as a first step towards net-zero sustainability
Position: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to drive the development and execution of our battery technology to meet Automotive OEM and other customer demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and deep understanding of lithium-ion battery cell design and testing, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate across commercial, R&D, and production teams
Core Responsibilities:
  • Technical Capabilities: Leverage deep technical expertise in lithium-ion batteries to guide product initiatives, develop internal testing protocols, and meet customer requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with commercial teams, R&D teams, and production stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of technical projects.
  • Product Roadmap Execution: Contribute to the development and implementation of product roadmaps, aligning technical capabilities with business goals.
  • Requirements Gathering: Translate customer needs and market insights into detailed technical requirements and specifications as well as feed into our product roadmaps.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address technical challenges throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Clear Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Assist in prototyping and validating new product features.
  • Market & User Research: Conduct competitive analysis and gather user feedback to drive product improvements.
Required experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in the battery industry, with a focus on lithium-ion battery cell technology and commercial production.
  • Familiarity with Li-ion cell design, manufacturing and testing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative, self-driven, creative thinker with an ability to wear many hats.
Location: San Leandro, CA. Full-time. Salary range $150-180k with additional stock compensation. Salary and equity options depend on experience. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, vision, healthcare, and 401(k) match. Applications will be screened as received.
