We are looking to have a Legal Staff member who will assist our legal department in many facets of corporate law--from paperwork to court proceedings. The Legal Staff member will offer services in corporate litigation procedures and other specific business legal needs. They may attend corporate meetings, prepare corporate resolutions, and other comparable tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare written correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents, applying knowledge of grammar and spelling to proofread such documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare related summaries and memos to be used as a basis for answering requests for internal legal and compliance tickets and company policies.
- Assist with projects related to corporate governance, compliance, corporate finance and development, intellectual property, and other legal matters.
- Assist in the preparation of Section 16 filings for directors and officers
- Assist in data room preparation and maintenance for M&A, corporate finance, and other projects.
- Assist with projects relating to litigation and other types of legal disputes.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of legal records, including those relating to organizational structure, board actions, litigation, real property, securities, etc.
- Assist with filing and maintenance of state entity registrations, business licenses, etc.
- Create and maintain database and spreadsheet files.
- Facilitate onboarding of new vendors relating to legal projects.
- Serve as liaison between the legal department and other internal departments, governmental agencies, and third-party businesses
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education
- Required: bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar
- Preferred: juris doctorate in progress
- Experience
- 2+ years of administrative, corporate, real estate, finance, accounting, or other business- or law-related experience
- Notary Public, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet competing deadlines
