AECOM is seeking Field Biologist's for immediate, part-time variable employment in the Los Angeles County region. This role will primarily support LA Wildfire Recovery. This initial assignment is anticipated to be for a period 6 months with the potential to extend. This is a field-based, remote position requiring the ability to be local on assignments for extended periods (generally on 7-day rotations) but linked to a Southern California-based office. Candidate must be able to work long-field based days during the rotations (up to 12-hours per day). This position could support numerous natural resource projects in the Los Angeles area of southern California with a focus on conducting biological surveys for nesting birds and other sensitive resources.
Other assignments may include vegetation mapping, wildlife assessments, habitat restoration, and/or regulatory compliance and permitting implementation with support from a senior biologist. Training and/or experience conducting nesting bird surveys for species local to southern California is preferred.
