Job Description
AECOM is looking for a Construction Resident Project Manager to work on Highway Bridge related Construction Management projects in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
- Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in moderately sized projects with moderate risk, complexity, and financial impact
- Manages and leads all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes and tools
- Manages subconsultants, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation
- Manages projects on a local to regional basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction
- Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project
- Acts as primary point of contact with client, maintaining regular communication and addressing concerns promptly
- Oversees project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables
- Coordinates with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and local communities
- Implements and maintains safety protocols on construction sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
- Conducts regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications
- Manages project budgets, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Resolves technical issues and conflicts that arise during project execution
- Prepares and presents project status reports to senior management and clients
- Ensures compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to highway and bridge construction
- Mentors and develops junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing project team
