ERM is seeking a Social Consultant to join our support team in Mexico City, Mexico.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct desktop work (e.g., information review, research, data processing).
  • Develop reports focused on social contexts, impacts, stakeholder engagement and requirements' compliance.
  • Perform fieldwork activities aimed at social due diligence, stakeholder engagement and the elaboration of social baselines, among others.
  • Systematize and analyze the fieldwork collected information.

Requirements:

  • 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Sociology, Anthropology, Sustainable Development Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Interest in social and labor issues, previous experience in stakeholder mapping, social management plans and stakeholder engagement is desirable.
  • Familiarity with international standards (e.g., International Finance Corporation, Equator Principles). Previous experience working with these requirements is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Management of databases (e.g., INEGI, INPI, CONAPO).
  • Demonstrated report writing, data collation and management/presentation skills.
  • Motivated to proactively contribute to a team environment, share knowledge, skills, and ideas.
  • Previous experience in consulting is desirable.
  • Experience in fieldwork is highly desirable.
  • Travel may be required, passport and drivers’ license are required (US Visa desirable).
