We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Associate to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, team player, and skilled writer with experience in marketing and public relations. They thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are excited to learn about new technologies and products.
Strategy Support: Assist DG+ colleagues and senior staff in developing marketing and communications strategies to build brands, expand awareness, generate leads, and drive business growth.
Content Creation: Create high-quality content for press releases, blogs, opinion articles, website pages, video scripts, email campaigns, case studies, white papers, and social media.
Social Media Management: Draft, publish, and manage organic social media content and track engagement.
Communications Support: Assist with building media lists and pitching story ideas to news outlets and reporters to secure media coverage. Follow industry media outlets, newsletters, and events to stay informed on current trends and opportunities.
Reporting: Compile and analyze key data related to marketing (campaign performance, website traffic, social media metrics) and communications (media mentions, trends, future opportunities).
Client Support: Engage regularly with clients to understand their marketing and communications needs. Participate in virtual meetings with clients and internal teams to discuss strategy, deliverables, deadlines, and other project-related activities.
Professionalism: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, internal teams, reporters, vendors, and partners.
Work Environment: Maintain a clean, safe home office work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field.
2+ years of work experience, with some direct experience in clean energy, climate tech, or sustainability.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt style, tone, and voice for various content types.
A working knowledge of sustainability and the clean energy economy.
Professional attitude and ability to uphold high standards in communication and brand representation.
1+ year experience working in sustainability and the clean energy economy.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Asana, Google Analytics, and HubSpot.
Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and experience using SEO tools, such as Semrush.
Experience developing and executing paid social media campaigns (ideally in a B2B setting).
Familiarity with media outreach and tracking tools, such as AgilityPR, Cision, or Meltwater.
Experience in social media platforms and social media management tools, such as Sprout Social.
Ability to track and analyze website and social media metrics using Google Analytics and other tools.
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience. DG+ benefits for all employees include:
