The Role:
- Work closely with supply chain and hardware/software engineering teams to ensure a coherent design and timely release.
- Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, testing of components, and documentation of these activities.
- Troubleshoot issues in manufacturing plants, assembly plants, and field operations.
- Lead failure analyses and experiments to propose design revisions and solutions.
- Design and develop high voltage and high power electrical unit packaging, low voltage vehicle control boxes, and functional/performance specifications following best practices, e.g., OBC, DCDC, GWSW, fuse boxes, ECU, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with PCBA, casting, sheet metal, and injection molding part design.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing principles.
- Experience with DFMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, tolerance analysis, or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V6/3DX.
- Able to work independently in English, both written and spoken. Native level proficiency in Mandarin.
Preferred:
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills with a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Education:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
