Maintenance Technician B - (II)

Transdev in Riverside, California is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

  • $32.97 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot fleet vehicle issues.
  • Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

·           1 year of experience as a Mechanic working in a shop environment.

·           ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided  

·           Mechanic’s Tool Set 

·          Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
