We’re a biotechnology innovator repairing our planet through infinite recycling. We’re taking the 10 billion tonnes of plastics and textiles wasting away in landfill and our environment, and recycling it, infinitely to create a truly circular loop for packaging, clothing, airbags and everything in between.

What you can do... 

We’re looking for a commercially minded, legally astute Chief of Staff to support our CEO and help shape the future of our bold and scaling company.

This is more than a support role—it’s a force-multiplier position for someone who thrives in high-stakes environments, brings clarity to complexity, and knows how to turn strategy into action. 

You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to the CEO and a key connector across the executive team, with a mandate to accelerate outcomes, streamline decision-making, and bring structure to our dynamic, fast-paced business. With a foundation in corporate law and a sharp commercial lens, you’ll step into business-critical conversations—whether with investors, regulators, partners, or internal leaders—and keep the company moving forward with pace and confidence. 

This is a rare opportunity for someone who’s operated at the heart of a startup or scale-up, understands what it means to grow fast without losing focus, and is ready to influence decisions at the highest level. 

What You’ll Own... 

Strategic Execution & CEO Enablement 

• Partner with the CEO to drive alignment, clarity, and momentum on company-wide priorities. 

• Act as a delegate in key strategic, commercial, and operational forums—ensuring the CEO’s vision is executed with precision. 

• Lead high-impact initiatives, from international expansion and regulatory navigation to commercial model evolution. 

• Support the CEO and SLT in making better, faster decisions—backed by insight, context, and good governance. 

• Translate vision into operational reality by coordinating the right people, plans, and resources across the business. 

Commercial Support & Market-Facing Strategy 

• Step into high-value commercial conversations—supporting major negotiations, customer engagements, and strategic partnerships. 

• Work closely with the commercial leads on pricing, deal structuring, market entry, and stakeholder strategy. 

• Ensure legal, regulatory, and operational considerations are embedded in commercial decision-making. 

• Provide commercial rigor and legal insight in investor relations, capital strategy, and board-level planning. 

Legal, Governance & Risk Oversight 

• Own key legal and governance workstreams—supporting the CEO and Board with clarity, compliance, and foresight. 

• Manage external counsel and ensure fit-for-purpose legal frameworks as the business scales across jurisdictions. 

• Lead the development and review of shareholder agreements, equity structures, commercial contracts, and key corporate policies. 

• Advise on regulatory implications of strategic decisions—balancing ambition with risk management and long-term sustainability. 

Operational Excellence & Executive Coordination 

• Bring operational discipline to a high-velocity business—driving consistency, accountability, and follow-through across the SLT. 

• Identify and unblock friction points in execution, helping the team move faster with less drag. 

• Lead internal strategic projects and initiatives that don’t sit neatly in one function but matter deeply to the company’s trajectory. 

• Build and refine governance structures, meeting cadences, and reporting rhythms that scale with the business. 

• Shape internal and external communications that elevate transparency and trust—from board materials to investor updates. 

What You Bring... 

• Commercial Acumen: You see legal frameworks as enablers of growth and know how to operate in the grey—balancing risk, pace, and opportunity. 

• Startup/Scale-Up DNA: You’ve operated in high-growth environments where ambiguity is the norm and priorities shift fast. 

• C-Suite Credibility: Experience advising or working alongside executive leadership, board members, and key external stakeholders. 

• Strategic & Operational Range: Able to think big-picture and execute in the detail—whether structuring a commercial deal or mapping an internal rollout. 

• Exceptional Communication: Clear, concise, and compelling—whether drafting board papers, leading a negotiation, or aligning a cross-functional team. 

• Bias for Action: Comfortable owning outcomes, managing complexity, and delivering under pressure. 

Bonus Points For... 

• Legal Expertise: JD, LLB, or equivalent with admission to practice law in Australia. Strong background in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law. 
  
  
• Experience in capital raises, M&A, or global expansion 

• Exposure to high-impact industries (deep tech, climate, biotech, advanced manufacturing) 

• A track record of scaling governance and legal operations in growing companies
