Senior Associate - IT (Network Admin)

Position Title : Network Administrator 

Reporting To : Manager

Work Location : Bangalore

Specific Assignments:

• Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability of network devices.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Problem ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.
• Implement security policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate should have strong 5+ years’ experience in all the below:

• CCNA certified or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Experience of working on network equipment in a large NOC or multivendor environment.
• Basic understanding of the following protocols: IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, IPsec, OSFP / BGP, .1Q and STP.
• Firewall technologies (at least two of the ones mentioned): Fortinet, Palo Alto or Checkpoint.
• Familiar working in a data centre environment.
• Able to analyse problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and device recovery.
• Clear communicator (written and verbal).
• Capable of prioritising and managing own workload.
• Collaborative team player
• Self-motivated
• Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision.

Below skills will be an advantage:

• CCNP / JNCIA
• Basic understanding of AAA platforms such as Radius and/or TACACS.
• Strong experience with checkpoint firewall.
• Experience with A10 Load Balancer.
• Automation skills (Ansible / python / terraform) or another developing tool.
