The Digital Business Intelligence (BI) Lead ensures that clients can access, interpret, and use key data through intuitive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools. This role handles turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that empower clients to make informed, strategic decisions. The BI Lead focuses on data visualisation, reporting automation, and business performance tracking to help clients gain real-time visibility into their operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, data visualisation, and analytics strategy, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable BI solutions for clients across industries. They will work closely with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dashboard & Report Development
• Design, develop, and manage client-facing dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure BI solutions are tailored to client needs, focusing on usability and actionable insights.
• Optimise data visualisation and storytelling techniques to make complex information digestible for non-technical stakeholders.
• Automate reporting processes to minimise manual effort and improve efficiency.

2. Data Accuracy & Consistency
• Implement data governance and quality assurance processes to maintain a single source of truth for decision-making.
• Work with Data Engineers to ensure smooth data integration from multiple sources (databases, APIs, third-party tools).
• Perform data validation and anomaly detection to proactively find and resolve inconsistencies.

3. Self-Service BI Enablement
• Develop self-service analytics solutions, allowing clients to explore their own data without needing technical ability.
• Train and support client teams on how to use BI tools effectively (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Create standardised reporting templates to improve consistency across different client teams and departments.

4. Collaboration with Analytics & Data Engineering
• Work closely with the Analytics Lead to integrate predictive analytics and AI-driven insights into BI dashboards.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering Lead to improve data pipelines for real-time reporting and analysis.
• Translate business requirements into BI solutions, ensuring alignment between client needs and technical capabilities.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Stay up to date with BI trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance the value of BI solutions.
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making within client organisations by demonstrating the impact of BI insights.
• Find opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in reporting and analytics processes.
