Wärtsilä is an innovative technology company known for being a forerunner in the Marine and Energy markets. Every day, we – Wärtsilians - put our hearts and minds into turning Wärtsilä's purpose of enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services into reality. Our ultimate aim is to provide increased value to both our customers and society. New, game-changing ideas and continuous improvement have been part of our DNA since 1834. Together, we can create new business opportunities and more sustainable future that we can all be proud of.

We want to transition the world towards a decarbonised and sustainable future. By pushing the boundaries of engineering and technology, we can make it work. We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent – want to join the ride?

As ANCS (Automation, Navigation & Control Systems), we transform how vessels perform to create the safest and most efficient journey for our customers – always with the vision in mind to navigate towards a more sustainable maritime industry. With our rich history of pioneering maritime technologies we have defined industry benchmarks.

To be better tomorrow, we need the right talents today to complement our strong team of 650 employees in over 10 countries across the globe with the right skills, experience and a winning attitude.

ANCS is on an exciting journey as we establish ourselves as a standalone organisation following a divestiture from Wartsila. This transition gives us a rare chance to redefine and build our HR and People functions from the ground up, with a focus on creating a culture that prioritises employee engagement, well-being, and a connected, inclusive experience. We're looking for passionate product professionals who are motivated to shape our product portfolio and influence the future of our organisation.

We are therefore looking for a Compliance Officer (m/f/d). This role will ensure the organisation adheres to regulations and standards, focusing on trade compliance, GDPR, anti-corruption, and sustainability. This role involves developing and maintaining policies, monitoring compliance tools, and supporting ethical practices within the organization.

What will you be doing?

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Maintenance and Acquisition of Standards and Rules: Ensure the organization adheres to relevant EU standards and regulations, updating and acquiring new standards as necessary.
  • Monitoring General Trade Compliance Rules, Policies, and Tools: Oversee compliance with trade regulations, utilizing tools such as SAP-GTS and Nexus Diligence.
  • GDPR Compliance: Implement and monitor GDPR policies to ensure data protection and privacy. • Code of Conduct: Develop, maintain, and enforce the organization's code of conduct.
  • Anti-Corruption: Manage anti-corruption policies to ensure ethical practices within the organization.
  • Whistleblower Process: Oversee the whistleblower process to ensure concerns are addressed appropriately and confidentially.
  • Policy Requirements Support: Provide support for the development and implementation of compliance policies.
  • Gift Register: Maintain and monitor the gift register to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Navy Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant navy regulations.
  • Sustainability: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to ensure the organization meets environmental and social governance standards.
