Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of administrative e tax tasks. The position is based in Thessaloniki, Greece

Mission

Provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting and tax tasks, preparing financial statements and reporting. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

Accountabilities

• Support the preparation of the local Financial Statement and Corporate income tax

• Follow the company policies and procedures to maintain the internal controls.

• Ensure vendor invoices are issued as per VAT local law.

• Ensure booking entries of General Ledger or AP or AR or Branch figures are posted on the right WBS.

• Prepare bank payment transactions.

• Audit employee expense claims, petty cash & credit cards and ensure that it's following the policy.

• Maintain fixed asset register and physical reconciliation.

• Engage with other departments when it's related to admin inquiry.

• Manage monthly supplier reconciliations in relation with Procurement / Supply Chain management.

• Maintain proper filling system.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• 5 Years of experience in Accounting.

• Knowledge of SAP.

• Proven track record in managing AP/AR.

• Ability to manage VAT reconciliation and filing monthly statements.

Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
