Role Summary:

The Architecture Director will lead the design and management strategy for assigned projects, overseeing the successful coordination, leadership, and delivery of architectural services. This role involves guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, meeting client expectations, and maintaining project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design sensibility, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex, large-scale projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall design strategy and execution of architectural works for the project team.
  • Coordinate inputs from internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project milestones and objectives.
  • Oversee conceptual and detailed design development processes.
  • Ensure all designs align with clients' briefs, budgets, and authority requirements.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules to maintain timelines and deliverables.
  • Review and approve project documentation, material specifications, and schedules of finishes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Manage the architectural scope during the construction stage, ensuring smooth coordination and site issue resolution.
  • Support project administration including organisation of records and building contract administration.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and engage with prospective clients as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognised and accredited institution.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant architectural experience, with strong leadership exposure.
  • Proficient in design and 3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, Rhino/Grasshopper, SketchUp, Revit, Inscape, Lumion.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Deep understanding of local and international planning and building codes.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Analytical, organised, and meticulous with high attention to detail.
  • A creative thinker with sound aesthetic judgement.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with strict deadlines.
