Arenko is an Energy Tech company using advanced software to optimise energy storage, making electricity grids more flexible, reliable, and zero-carbon. Our platform enables grid operators (such as National Grid in the UK) and asset owners to maximise efficiency and revenue in an evolving energy landscape.

The Role:

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving the commercial messaging and positioning of Arenko SaaS to help with its ambitious growth plans in an exciting period for the company. At its core this role oversees the creation and execution of a strategy to increase awareness of Arenko, its technology, products and its people, targeting enterprise accounts in the energy sector. 


You will shape campaigns around our end customer base and will have the opportunity to build a global brand, as Arenko builds on its reputation in the UK and enters new territories in the coming years. You will help shape the overall ethos of the Arenko brand and identity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a proven track record of leading account based marketing campaigns in SaaS, either excelling in an existing marketing department of a larger organisation or already driving a growing company’s marketing function. This role is perfect for a self-starter that works well both autonomously and as part of a wider commercial team and in close collaboration with the product team.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee and lead the marketing strategy to create compelling content about the Arenko platform. 
  • Work closely with the Account Management and Business Development teams to build comprehensive campaigns and collateral to support the wider commercial strategy.
  • Develop, execute, manage and report upon account based marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Product team to shape the narrative about our products, articulating our strengths and USPs to the market..
  • Identify market opportunities, competitor activities and go to market strategies.
  • Act as a brand guardian for Arenko’s branding. 
  • In cooperation with our product and engineering team, create compelling documentation and collateral for use with customers, investors, and the broader public.
  • Develop and own relationships with external suppliers, events and agencies as necessary.
  • Keep pace with a rapidly growing start-up!
  • Own communications, including working closely with our external PR firm to ensure our accomplishments are communicated effectively to the public and supporting ongoing development of the Arenko website.

What we are looking for:

  • 7 years’ experience within a marketing department or agency for SaaS
  • Must have strong B2B marketing experience 
  • Must have experience of working within or with the UK energy sector - a working understanding of utility scale energy businesses and the sector is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with designers, product professionals and engineers 

Skills and abilities:

  • Very strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to successfully prioritise and manage multiple urgent tasks on tight timelines
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and Power Point) and Google stack
  • Must be a self starter, keen to add value wherever possible
  • Team player who is able to get stuck in where needed

Our Hiring Process:

  2. 1st Round interview: Intro call with hiring manager and a member of the team
  3. Final Interview (Presentation):  Presentation with a member of product, commercial & SLT
