Senior Financial Controller

We are looking for a Temporary Senior Financial Controller until End of August 2026 for Sweden to join our team in Global Business Services.

Your main responsibilities will span across accounting matters, mentoring the Financial Controller Community, and leading and actively participating in various accounting projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full understanding of and advising on complex Swedish accounting matters
  • Mentoring the Financial Controller Community and leading the work of the local accounting team in Sweden, coordinating work and providing guidance to junior colleagues
  • Leading and actively participating in various accounting projects to drive process improvements
  • Steering end-to-end accounting processes to ensure compliance with high-quality service standards and reporting requirements
  • Ensuring fulfillment of local statutory and tax reporting requirements, including annual reports, tax declarations, statistics, and transfer pricing documentation
  • Analyzing and auditing the correctness and completeness of financial figures
  • Coordinating IAS 19 Pension reporting for Swedish entities
  • Acting as the main point of contact for local auditors, tax authorities, and other authorities, as well as internal stakeholders such as Group Tax Services, Business Units, Group Accounting, and Reporting
  • Supporting the setup of Sweden's legal structure and involvement in strategic decisions such as equity injections, dividends, and changes in legal structure, with the assistance of the tax team for specific tasks

Required skills, competences and experience:

  • University degree in Accounting or other relevant field of expertise
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience
  • Extensive knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and end-to-end general accounting concepts and processes
  • Advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems
  • High skills in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Focus on value creation and process improvement
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships between teams
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
  • Good knowledge of SAP and OneStream

You will report to the Accounting Director and collaborate with other Accounting teams to maintain consistency across all regions where we operate, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients and upholding our commitment to excellence.
