The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $138,343 to $172,929
Job Summary
As the Purchasing Manager, you will lead a team of Buyers to support the purchases of material and services for the affiliate Operating Companies. You will ensure compliance of the competitive bid process, supplier selection, process time, and manage multiple requests and projects. Your role will also include driving cost reduction initiatives, maintaining high levels of customer service, and generating necessary reports, presentations, and other documents. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct a team of Buyers to ensure timely process of high volume of material and services as requested by the Business.
- Responsible for generating and maintaining various reports as required. Includes tracking and trending of performance measures.
- Ensure compliance with controls and procedures.
- Communication and share information with the internal Business units and within the Purchasing team.
- Evaluate proposal for awards (PA) and approve tenders to ensure that the purchasing process has been followed.
- Develop and maintain a high-performance culture, resulting in continued success by meeting KPIs and improved levels of service to internal and external customers.
- Sets goals and challenges employees, provide staff with coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience in areas such as: supplier management experience, including qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and managing supplier quality. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain methodologies, models, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate concepts, data, and recommendations to management.
- Experience performing economic evaluations for the procurement of equipment and services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the energy industry
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a relevant field.
- CMP, C.P.S.M, or equivalent certifications or working toward achievement is welcome
