Position Summary Work as Mechanical Application Engineer in close cooperation with OEMs/transmission（include HEV，PHEV）/ suspension companies to help BW customers to modify/build automated transmissions or suspension system in consideration of BW core modules (like wet clutches, hydraulic / pneumatic control modules, solenoids...and others as applicable). The Mechanical Application Engineer has to ensure that BW has the correct/full understanding of customers technical status, risk, and concern and develop an adequate strategy to ensure BW product application is successful and meets customer requirements.Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities<ul><li>Responsible for detailed technical discussion with customers (transmission/suspension and/or vehicle level). Ensure that specifications are properly defined and meet customer and BW (technical) requirements.</li><li>System level communication and support to customers (and/or – if applicable - assigned 3rd party Engineering Consultant company). Ensure that customers clearly understand actions and adjustments/developments needed to properly apply BW solutions.</li><li>Break down customer requirements into detail component level requirements – e.g. for clutch and hydraulic/pneumatic control module.</li><li>Communication internally with design and validation team, global technical centers, plants, and suppliers for product development.</li><li>Sign Off engineering release internally incl. all technical documents – Assembly drawings, DVP&amp;R, technical reports, product change requests, part approval requests, …etc.</li><li>Develop and regularly update DFMEA</li><li>Support customer troubleshooting, incl. 8D report to customer, failure investigation initiatives (technical analysis, test programs, …etc.)</li><li>Ensure that lessons learned information will be forwarded to the Homerooms</li><li>Support cost reduction activities</li><li>Support product improvement initiatives</li><li>Support production facilities and ensure that product meets production requirements</li><li>Support initiatives to obtaining new business / customers</li></ul>Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement Carefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
