The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for our Alamo, TN location! This role is crucial in supervising a team of production employees engaged in various manufacturing activities. You'll schedule work to meet on-time delivery objectives while optimizing resource utilization. How You'll Make an Impact

  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on equipment use and maintaining compliance with policies.
  • Manage and train employees within your work group.
  • Achieve Section KPIs for Safety, On-Time Delivery, Throughput Time, Productivity, and Efficiency.
  • Track and enter hourly employees' time into the timekeeping system.
  • Resolve or assist in resolving production, technical, and logistics problems.
  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and reducing backlog.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, sorting, and analyzing production performance records.
  • Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, and recommending actions.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of manufacturing experience; OR associate’s degree and 4+ years of manufacturing experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Broad experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing implementation and Six Sigma training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to achieve cooperation from others.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
