POSITION SUMMARY
Provide leadership and guidance to the assigned Quality team, aggressively driving quality improvement efforts to meet and exceed customer targets. Mentor Quality Engineers and Technicians to achieve their best results.
Experienced Engineer who drives quality improvements and champions a “Zero-defects” quality culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees integrity of product quality for assigned operations. 
  • Drives and champions quality improvement efforts. 
  • Develops individuals and teams. 
  • Provides analysis, guidance, and support to production through process improvement activities, including effective use of problem-solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis. 
  • Applies the APQP standard, supports the internal & external customers in new product and process introduction. 
  • Ensures that internal customer needs for Quality Systems are met in a timely and functional manner, including the maintenance of process documentation.
  • Results for this position will be measured by: Growth in leadership ability, Parts Per Million, Corrective Action Timing and Effectiveness, and Building Team Relationships.
  • Applies and grows in knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making. 
  • Takes responsibility for driving quality results.  Builds credibility with our internal as well as external customers.
  • Mentor others in use of analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Works Continually to improve systems & processes to achieve better results more efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
  • Provides oversight and direction to ensure team uses rigorous and proven methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Provides effective customer service that is timely, accurate and professional.
  • Adheres to an appropriate and effective set of core values and beliefs and acts in line with those values.
  • Exhibits creativity.
  • Seeks out opportunities for improvement.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned

JOB PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

PROFILE

Mechanical, Manufacturing, industrial engineer degree or similar.

Quality Assurance experience

Bilingual

EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated knowledge of advanced quality planning

Inspection equipment and techniques

Root cause failure analysis

Capability studies

Statistical distributions

Assembly processes

Problem solving

Team facilitation

GD&T

Minitab

ASQ certification is a plus
