Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Quality Auditor to work within AECOM’s Transportation Group and be based in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role will report to the Mid-Atlantic Project Quality Manager.
The Project Quality Auditor will be project-based and work as part of a Quality Management Team that will distribute project tasks by quality functions. This role will be performing both Quality Audits including auditing, documenting, implementing, monitoring and improving the Quality Functions for multiple programs and projects, as well as performing Office Engineering duties on projects, which may include administrative tasks, project documentation, contract management budgeting, communication between parties to promote a successful project.
The position will primarily support Maryland area projects within the Mid-Atlantic region working both on-project sites and at regional offices.
This position is anticipated to be a hybrid position, which will require travel to project offices and project sites within the Region. Projects may likely include projects that are design, planning, CMAR, PMCM, design-bid-build and design-build delivery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Auditing, assessing, monitoring, and evaluating design and PMCM quality control activities, performing reviews and reports on the status and effectiveness of the quality requirements of the project
- Auditing Oversight of Field work on construction projects
- Ensuring that AECOM and Project Specific quality management system processes are followed, and evidence is recorded and maintained.
- Understanding of Project Specific Management processes to aid in on time and on budget project delivery.
- Office Engineer duties; review Construction, PMCM and Design submittals and route to appropriate parties, including administrative tasks, project documentation, contract management budgeting, communication involved for responses.
- Utilize Electronic Document Management Systems for collaboration and delivery of projects.
- Work with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Controllers and Project Staff to adhere to project schedules, budgets and delivery requirements.
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on the status of the project development, and outstanding review comments for managing quality deliverables
- Providing guidance to project team members within the latitude of established policies.
- Auditing of Subconsultant and Contractor Quality Plans and Activities
- Auditing of 3rd Party Testing results
- Ability to work with Special Testing and Inspection consultants and Testing Laboratories to achieve desired quality results.
- Ensure successful quality control and assurance aspects of project deliverables.
- Perform Project Quality Process Audits and Surveillances.
- Report on Quality results, metrics, and actions.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Meet with clients on Quality
- Meet and work with Field Construction Management staff to audit quality of inspection and construction management services
- Meetings with subcontractors and subconsultant Quality managers
- Educate project team staff and mentor in processes and plans
- Participate in design-build projects within the U.S.
- Develop Project specific training / just in time training materials and present to project teams and subconsultants
- Managing Nonconformances and Corrective Actions issued to projects
- Managing and routing project related correspondence, RFI’s, Submittals, NCR’s and actionable items for project delivery
