Payroll Coordinator

Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is hiring a Payroll Coordinator. The Payroll Coordinator assists the Finance Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll functions. We are seeking customer service professionals who are detailed oriented and dedicated to safety.  

We are looking for someone highly motivated and experienced to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Inputting driver/staff payroll information into the computer for processing.  

  • Accurately tracking attendance.  Working with employees to correct timesheets as needed.

  • Entering and verifying billing information on the computer.

  • Answering telephone calls and responding to customer inquiries.  Distributing mail, preparing overnight packages, maintaining stamps, and other mailing supplies.  

  • Verifying all standard hours to reduce any additional driver hours.

  • Assisting AM in accurately tracking OT to reduce/eliminate unnecessary or additional hours punched.

  • Processing new employee files/records

  • Other duties as assigned.

  

Necessary Skills/Abilities:  

 

  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and is a self-starter

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Physical Requirements & Working Conditions (include amount of travel):

  • Must be able to move about the office and between floors; utilize standard office equipment; access filing systems/cabinets; and communicate effectively and efficiently in person or by telephone

  • Move about the office and bus yard

  • Ability to provide additional information relating to this position (Revenue, Headcount, # of buses; Budgets $, etc.)

 

 

Requirements:

Minimum Education & Certifications Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Payroll.

 

Work Environment:


•    
This position requires working in an office setting as well as in the field to monitor and support bus operations.
•    Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
•    May require responding to emergencies or service disruptions outside of regular business hours.

 

Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise

•Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedule as needed.

•The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

•Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
