About the Job

About us
At aedifion, you play an active role in shaping the future of energy-efficient building operations. Our mission is to make existing buildings smarter, more sustainable and simpler - and thereby make a real contribution to CO₂ reduction.
You will work in an innovative tech company that uses cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, AI and cloud solutions to create sustainable real estate. Our culture? Open, diverse and team-oriented. With almost 90 colleagues from 12 nations, we combine a wide range of specialist areas and perspectives to achieve great things together. Your impact in this position:
As a Project Engineer (f/m/d) – Native French Speaker, you will take responsibility for complex customer projects and oversee them throughout the entire project lifecycle – from the initial phase to optimization and support.

Your challenge will be to coordinate a wide range of stakeholders, align technical and strategic requirements, and ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of buildings. In this role, you are not only the technical point of contact but also a problem solver who develops innovative solutions and meets customer expectations.

Additionally, you will support our expansion into France by managing initial projects in French (C1 level). In the early stages, occasional travel to France will be required to support customers on-site and ensure the successful implementation of projects. Furthermore, you will advise our sales colleagues on technical matters, actively contributing to the acquisition of new customers. What you can expect:

  • Autonomy: You independently take on customer projects and support the sustainable optimization of building operations.

  • Project Coordination: You manage internal and external projects across teams and departments – always aiming to achieve optimal results.

  • Project Management: You are responsible for the efficient management of processes and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed at all times.

  • Interface Work: As a central point of contact, you collaborate with asset, property, and facility managers, partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Product Development / Process Optimization: Your feedback actively contributes to the further development of our solutions, continuously improving and future-proofing our processes and tools.

  • Technical Consulting: You support our sales colleagues with technical questions, helping to convince potential customers.

  • Communication: You translate complex issues into understandable terms and ensure transparent information flow between customers and internal teams.

  • Willingness to Travel: In the initial phase, you are willing to occasionally travel to France to support customer projects on-site and ensure successful implementations.

What you bring along:

  • Technisches Know-how: Erste Kenntnisse in der Gebäudetechnik solltest du mitbringen.

Benefits

  • Make a difference: Your work helps to reduce CO₂ emissions and make buildings more sustainable and energy-efficient.

  • Mobile work: Organize your working day according to your needs - with flexible working hours, short core working hours and the freedom to work from our modern office in Cologne, remotely from anywhere in Germany or up to 10 days a year from other European countries.

  • Long-term prospects: After the probationary period, we offer you a permanent employment contract.

  • Feel-good offer: With 30 days of annual leave, you can relax extensively, whilst fresh organic fruit, regional coffee, free drinks and our monthly team breakfast provide your daily energy boost.

  • Further training: We support you with customized training opportunities to advance your career.

  • Tech stack: You will receive modern work equipment of your choice - whether Microsoft or Apple - as well as high-quality noise-canceling headphones for focused work.

  • Mobility Package: Always mobile: you have the choice between the Deutschland-Ticket or a job bike - for your commute to work or privately.

  • Pension provision: Allowances for capital-forming benefits (VWL) or company pension scheme (bAV).

  • #teamaedifion: Regular team events, working at eye level, active exchange of experience and flat hierarchies promote strong cooperation and open communication in our team.

  • Dog-friendly office: Bring your dog with you - we look forward to animal support.
