Job purpose:

In this position, you will be responsible for deploying BorgWarner process framework to the customer projects.  You will leverage experience and lessons learned from the projects to deploy processes that fit our business strategy. You will act as a process coach to the project teams. You will also help adhere the projects to key global standards as they continually evolve (ASPICE, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, etc.).



Key responsibilities:

  • Drive global ASPICE compliant product development through adoption of the BorgWarner Engineering Development Framework (EDF) and associated tools.

  • Proactively analyze process deployments, identifies opportunities for improvement and develops solutions to achieve quality goals for the project.

  • Works closely with the engineering teams to monitor performance of the processes.

  • Performs work product reviews and adherence to process. Makes recommendations on improvements.

  • Creates and maintains a quality dashboard and metrics for reporting to the project and matrix organization.

  • Tracks assessment findings to closure.

  • Performs random checks of document consistencies and accuracy.

  • Identifies and escalates issues for non-compliances.

  • Make recommendations for process improvement back to the Process, Methods, and Tools team

  • Work closely with global engineering teams to identify and adopt best practices across regions, products, and projects.




What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Master's Degree preferred.

  • 8+ years’ experience in Systems/Software Engineering; automotive preferred

  • 8+ years of process development experience, including deployment and coaching of teams.

  • Demonstrated Systems, Software Engineering and/or Software Quality Assurance competency.

  • Comprehensive understanding and leadership of ASPICE based systems development methodology.

  • Working knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434)

  • Knowledge of embedded control software and software development processes

  • Ability to work effectively across functional and geographic boundaries in the interest of the business.

  • Knowledge of requirements definition, change management and verification techniques (preferred)

  • Experience using one or more tools for developing complex systems and products; Lifecycle Management, Requirements Management, Configuration Management, etc.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; effectively communicates with peers, supervisors, and customers.

  • Proven leadership and team building skills.

  • Proven mentoring and coaching experience

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently internationally



Salary Range:

$100,000 - $137,500
