This intern will perform an analysis of current state process and propose recommendations. This is a paid internship - 40 hours per week for 8 - 10 weeks in an office environment; this is not a remote position.YOUR IMPACT<ul><li>Support day-to-day tasks such as data / trend analysis, project support, report writing, production planning &amp; team coordination activities</li><li>Manufacturing Engineering Projects (example could include build fixture design and development)</li><li>Safety Reporting Support (Paint VOCs, Fire Extinguisher Checks, Haz Waste, Wastewater, etc.)</li><li>Work area preparation (staging)</li><li>5S – organizing work areas, developing shadow boards, etc.</li><li>Continuous Improvement project support</li><li>Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities</li><li>Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>US Citizenship is required due to government contracts</li><li>Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (preferably Junior or Senior), in the following fields of study: Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering</li><li>Fundamental understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems</li><li>Experience with assembly processes is a plus</li><li>Experience in an automotive, heavy machinery, or similar environment would be helpful</li><li>Understanding with at least one CAD program</li><li>Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment</li></ul>Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
