We serve various industries including traditional and green energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food &amp; beverage, glass, and advanced manufacturing.Who We Are Looking ForRe:Build Optimation seeks a Process &amp; Mechanical Engineer Co-op/Intern to collaborate with engineering, trades, and project management. This position involves real-world project assignments.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.What You Get To Do<ul><li>Support project teams in diverse tasks: requirements gathering, concept &amp; preliminary builds, process flow diagram (PFD) and piping &amp; instrumentation diagram (P&amp;ID) development, equipment specification &amp; selection, engineering calculations, bill of materials (BOM) creation, materials selection, code &amp; standard review/research, fabrication &amp; assembly support, troubleshooting, and more.</li><li>Generate plans &amp; layouts using CAD software/tools and process simulation tools.</li><li>Contribute to the creation and writing of technical reports &amp; project documentation.</li><li>Partner with a senior or principal engineer mentor to set and achieve personal and professional development goals.</li><li>Participate in internal &amp; client project meetings and compose reviews.</li><li>Work with project managers to plan, manage, and complete tasks successfully.</li></ul>What You Bring To The Team<ul><li>Currently pursuing a BS and/or MS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and personal management skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment; naturally curious.</li><li>Familiarity with CAD software/tools such as AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks is desirable.</li><li>Ability to be on-site at our offices in Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY.</li><li>Familiarity with process simulation software; ChemCAD is the preferred choice.</li><li>Previous co-op, internship, or relevant project background aiding engineering &amp; creation of industrial machinery and/or automation solutions is an advantage.</li><li>Prior exposure to ISO9001 or a comparable quality framework is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools &amp; methodologies is advantageous.</li><li>Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred.</li></ul>Compensation Range: Rate for this position is expected to be between $23 to $27 per hour.We want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operateRe:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
