Job Description:<ul><li><div><div>Job Description </div><div> </div><div>We are seeking a skilled Senior Systems Engineer supporting the development of single axis solar trackers and other solar power plant equipment for power distribution, power conversion, inspection and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a talented engineer who demonstrates strong knowledge of systems engineering and mechanical engineering principles, analytical skills, system-level mindset, commitment to innovation, attention to details, and passion for the solar industry. This position is based in Hyderabad and will report to the Director of Systems Engineering. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Key Responsibilities </div><div><ul><li>Communicate with the Product Management team to understand the product needs and translate them into engineering requirements and design solutions. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Perform system architecture design, including functional block diagrams and interface definitions. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and manage system level requirements from definition to implementation and verification. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Drive all engineering disciplines and work closely with manufacturing teams through the development cycle to bring the product from concept to mass production. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Create and implement test plans to bring up, debug, and validate designs to meet functional and performance goals with a focus on safety and reliability. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Own and develop system level modeling tools that will guide the product design and ensure that the product performance meets all customer and product requirements. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support automation of design processes and tools to scale the business. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Gather, process, and analyze large sets of field data and factory test data to guide the investigation and resolution of service anomalies and improve future products. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Participate in system level design and process FMEAs to ensure design robustness, safety, and reliability. </li></ul></div><div> </div></div><div><div> </div><div>Required Qualifications </div><div><ul><li>BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering or equivalent. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>7+ years’ hands on experience designing complex electromechanical products. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with the full product lifecycle, from requirement definition to design, production, operation. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience operating in a multi-disciplinary and multi-functional environment </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience performing trade studies and lifecycle cost analysis. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience writing requirement specifications, verification plans and test plans. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong eye toward safety, constructability, and system maintenance. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Preferred Qualifications </div><div><ul><li>2+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with CAD and FEA tools. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or other high-level general-purpose programming language. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with requirement management process and tools (Jama preferred). </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with MBSE. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>FMEA, root cause analysis, investigation of service anomalies. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Understanding of solar industry and mechanical tracking systems. </li></ul></div></div></li></ul>At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
