Job Description:Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct thorough validation of form, fit, and function for newly introduced products (NPI).</li><li>Evaluate and qualify parts and assemblies sourced from new vendors.</li><li>Perform rigorous prototype testing to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Identify potential failure scenarios and conduct failure mode analysis to enhance product reliability and durability.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to implement effective corrective actions.</li><li>Document and report findings clearly and concisely, providing actionable recommendations.</li><li>Assist with projects and test setups in the R&amp;D yard. Conduct testing in the yard or at project sites and collect relevant data.</li><li>Review installation manuals and procedures to ensure product compliance.</li><li> Replicate customer-reported issues in the R&amp;D yard for troubleshooting.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.</li><li>Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in product validation, prototype testing, and failure analysis.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.</li><li>Knowledge of product design validation processes, tools, and standards.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Experience in the solar industry or similar fields would be advantageous.</li></ul>At Nextracker, we are leading in the energy transition, providing the most comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers.
