Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Construction Manager to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead on-site delivery of construction management (CM) services and manage a staff of CM professionals as necessary.</li><li>Support construction safety implementation through understanding safety requirements. Develop a safety culture within the project CM Team. Confirm construction contractor safety programs are submitted, approved, and followed by all parties involved in the project.</li><li>Implement CM schedule, cost, quality, communication, decision-making, and information tools and processes across the project.</li><li>Support program and project controls activities through schedule control, cost control, change management, risk management, and reporting tools.</li><li>Attend and/or support meetings and teleconferences as required, including preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records.  Experience in conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects, and briefing DOD clients and management personnel.</li><li>Monitor the contract progress and make recommendations to the client for contractor payments.</li><li>Work to build a cooperative partnership between client, contractors, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.</li><li>Demonstrate effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification, assessment, tracking, and communication.</li><li>Responsible for the enforcement of contract documents including plans and specifications.</li><li>Understanding and/or development of start-up and commissioning plans and identifying associated resources as necessary.</li><li>Maintain electronic document control systems and project files/documentation.</li><li>Attend preparatory meetings and participate in the 3-Phase inspection process required under the contract.</li></ul>
