You'll own the data infrastructure and business intelligence ecosystem that will power data-driven people decisions across the company. This is a high-impact role where you'll architect systems, build dashboards, and enable leaders at all levels with actionable insights. This role reports to our head of Talent Development &amp; Analytics to ensure analytics drive business impact. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Develop and maintain strategic PowerBI dashboards covering recruiting, performance, engagement, retention, and workforce planning</li> <li>Build data pipelines integrating HR systems (e.g., ADP, Lattice, iCIMS, and others) into Databricks, partnering with our data engineering team.</li> <li>Design data models optimized for reporting and self-service analytics</li> <li>Write SQL and Python code in Databricks to transform and model people data from multiple HR systems </li> <li>Create self-service analytics enabling managers to access team-specific metrics</li> <li>Interpret, communicate, and consult on insights generated for various stakeholders</li> <li>Iterate data governance frameworks and establish security protocols for people data</li> <li>Ensure data quality, system reliability, and dashboard performance</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>6+ years experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics engineering</li> <li>2+ years experience with people data and HR data systems (HRIS, ATS, performance platforms)</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field</li> <li>Experience with Databricks or other cloud data platforms</li> <li>Strong SQL skills for data transformation and modeling</li> <li>Advanced PowerBI proficiency (DAX, data modeling, report design)</li> <li>Ability to translate business needs into scalable dashboards and reports</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Master’s degree in related field</li> <li>ETL/ELT development skills</li> <li>R or Python for data transformation and analysis</li> <li>Experience training non-technical users on self-service analytics</li> <li>Knowledge of workforce planning, compensation, or talent acquisition metrics</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
