This role plays an instrumental part in bringing clean, affordable, and modern energy to the world.     Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the following: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Perform all month end closing processes including but not limited to:  recording journal entries, variance analysis, and ensuring all entries are properly recorded</li><li>Assist in the integrity of the accounting policies and overall financial statements including the review of accounts for discrepancies and reconciling differences</li><li>Collaborate within accounting team and with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting is in place for various transactions and entries such as accruals, reserves, prepaid positions, fixed assets, and right of use assets</li><li>Conduct monthly reconciliations on various types of accounts such as inventory, freight, bad debt, rebates and taxes</li><li>Support in preparing schedules, requests, and information to support internal and external audits</li><li>Prepare intercompany reconciliations, cross charges, and elimination entries </li><li>Responsible for running trial balance and conducting analysis to ensure GL accounts are accurate and complete during close</li><li>Support cash management – working with bank and assisting in forecasting cash positions</li><li>Solid working knowledge of accounting principles in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li><li>Supporting the training and on-boarding of new hires within the team and documenting processes. </li><li>Manage sales tax certificates within SOVOS and tax account reconciliations </li><li>Ensure fixed assets are properly accounted for in accounting system including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation</li><li>Experience with establishing, writing, or documenting policies and improving processes </li><li>Assume day-to-day accounting operations duties including validating proper coding and determining appropriate accounting treatment</li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li>Familiarity with basic business principles, corporate structures, accounting standards, and financial statements </li><li>Ability to review and interpret general ledger accounts </li><li>Acute attention to detail </li><li>Commitment to excellence and high standards </li><li>High level of organizational skills </li><li>To respond courteously and promptly to upper management or business inquiries </li><li>Excellent communication and follow through skills</li><li>To express a professional demeanor when representing the Company </li><li>Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to act as a change agent in concert with leadership and relevant stakeholders</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm </li><li>Act as a flexible and innovative team player </li><li>Self-motivated and able to collaborate with others as well as work independently. </li><li>Ability to adhere to deadlines and shift priorities when needed  </li><li>Good communication skills and the ability to explain accounting concepts in simple language to diverse audiences </li></ul>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business field with 3-5 years’ experience.  </li><li>MBA or MA in Accounting, CMA or CPA preferred. </li><li>Proficient in Excel and Word, ERP Experience </li></ul>BENEFITS   Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, HSA, FSA, Flexible PTO, Birth Leave, Bonding LeaveSalary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually <div><div><a href="https://www.soligent.net/ca-privacy-protection-notice/">California Privacy Protection Notice</a> </div></div>
