Job Description

Responsibilities

As an Automated Assembly Line Operator, you will be responsible for being an integral part of the Zume Production team that manufactures quality products that meet and exceed our customers’ standards.   This is a full-time, permanent position working 4 days on/4 days off in 12-hour shifts.  Shift work may be either days or nights.

Job Duties

  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient equipment operation.
  • Comply with all safety rules
  • Operate automated assembly equipment including implementing machine set-ups, adjustments, and operation of HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
  • Make minor modifications to equipment subcomponents to manufacture parts within established quality guidelines.
  • Meet manufacturing quantity requirements by producing quality parts per production quotas.
  • Load and unload raw materials as needed.
  • Input production and equipment data to manufacturing information systems.

Experience & Skills

  • Experienced in operating complex automated assembly equipment.
  • Must be proficient in making precision adjustments and alignments.
  • Maintain the ability to operate touch panel HMI (Human-Machine Interface) for making operational changes to equipment.
  • Must have experience in updating Manufacturing records to information database systems for tracking of key production and quality metrics.
  • Strong and clear communication skills used to interface with Quality department, Production Supervisors, Maintenance Team, Engineers, and other Operators.
  • Ability to learn and adjust equipment to achieve product technical and quality requirements.
  • Must be able to change hardware components, adjust jig plates, and make other minor equipment modifications as needed to produce parts that meet requirements.
  • Ability to unload, load and adjust raw materials used in the manufacturing of products.
  • Must maintain levels of tooling and consumable parts and communicate the need to restock parts as needed.
  • Experience in the use of small hand-held and minor power tools.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates or Technical Certification preferred
