Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Utility Technician based in Richmond, VA.You’ll coordinate and undertake a range of maintenance activities within defined operating procedures, conduct safety inspections and comply with Aggreko's safety regulations. Provide first level technical advice to customers and may resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems.Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.What you'll do as a Utility Technician:<ul><li>Based out of our Richmond, VA service center</li><li>Carry out basic maintenance as per work instructions in accordance with Aggreko standards</li><li>Ensure that the workplace is well maintained and clean.</li><li>Maintain documentation either paper and electronic as per site specifics.</li><li>Adhere to 5S and QHSE procedures.</li><li>Work strictly in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Load and unload rental equipment and materials with large and small forklifts</li><li>Prepare and verify quality/accuracy of counts of rental equipment prior to delivery</li><li>Clean and put away rental equipment upon return to service center</li><li>Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized and up to safety standards</li><li>Wash rental equipment</li><li>Inspect and repair cable</li></ul>You are:<ul><li>High School diploma/GED or equivalent</li><li>0-3 years of experience working in a yard or warehouse.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li><li>Embrace and promote safety culture</li><li>Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality</li><li>Reliable and committed to delivering quality performance</li><li>Able to work overtime, travel and on-call</li><li>Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75lbs.</li></ul>Here's what you'll get:<ul><li>Competitive pay with potential for overtime</li><li>Annual bonus program</li><li>No premium cost medical plan option available</li><li>Paid training programs and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Career growth opportunities into mechanical roles</li><li>Safety-focused culture working on brand new technology</li></ul>Other essential job requirements  <ul><li>Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts</li><li>Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices</li><li>Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level</li><li>Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders</li><li>Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient, and persistent.
