We are currently seeking a Licensed Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario.📍 Location: Mississauga, ON 💲 Pay: $48.78 per hour 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time | Continental Day ShiftIf you enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment, working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and contributing to the reliability of plant operations, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll Do:As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical systems.</li><li>Plan and complete work assignments from blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, and verbal instructions.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.</li><li>Operate material handling equipment to position machinery and components during installation, setup, and repairs.</li><li>Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair plant equipment, machinery, systems, and building infrastructure.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.</li><li>Assemble machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.</li><li>Utilize lathes, grinders, and other machine tools to support maintenance and repair activities.</li><li>Support plant shutdowns, emergency repairs, and equipment recovery efforts to minimize downtime.</li><li>Provide guidance, instruction, and training to apprentices and helpers when required.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable national, provincial, and local codes and standards.</li><li>Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow all company safety procedures.</li></ul>What We're Looking For:Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Current Ontario Provincial or Interprovincial Trade Certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).</li><li>Completion of an Ontario or Interprovincial Apprenticeship (Trades Qualification) Program.</li><li>Experience working in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding skills.</li><li>Ability to work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.</li><li>Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.</li><li>Comfortable working at heights.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Dual-ticketed Millwright/Electrician.</li><li>PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.</li></ul>Health, Safety &amp; Environmental Commitment:Safety is a core value at IPEX.
