This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing distributors and key accounts, and executing regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives. The Sales Manager is responsible for promoting and delivering tailored water and wastewater treatment solutions that improve operational efficiency, water quality, and regulatory compliance of municipal, industrial, and aquatics customers.The ideal candidate will be a hunter mentality sales professional who combines strong consultative sales skills with technical aptitude, thrives on opening new accounts and driving business expansion, is self-motivated and succeeds in a multicultural, cross-border environment.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and objectives in assigned areas (product, and/or geography) as defined by management.</li><li>Accountable for establishing / managing productive, professional relationships with key personnel in prospective accounts (Senior Management, Technical, Operational, Procurement, Finance) in given area and for maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.</li><li>Execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.</li><li>Accurately forecasting sales by month, quarter and annual. Tracks progress against targets on an ongoing basis and take necessary action to refocus efforts if targets are not being met.</li><li>Proactively generating, assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs, identifying sales opportunities within prospective organizations through a deep knowledge of the customer’s goals from a range of stakeholder perspectives.</li><li>Leading the generation &amp; evaluation of all prospects and determining, using agreed criteria, viable opportunities to pass to the appropriate bidding team</li><li>Will lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, whilst coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.</li><li>Will oversee project management of all prospects and provide input as required to achieve the deadlines and to ensure that all client requirements are met.</li><li>Responsible for enlisting the support of product specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed (Collaborate with engineering, service, and project management teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.)</li><li>Will consider and evaluate the best route to market for the given prospect, i.e. direct sales, via contractor, OEM, distributor and prepare business case to support rationale. Agrees approach with management to deliver current key priorities (market share, profit etc.) and oversee implementation of actions agreed.</li><li>Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, and site evaluations.</li><li>Stay current with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging treatment technologies, and feed information back to the company to adapt to market needs.</li><li>Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM documentation.</li><li>Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.</li></ul>Requirements :<ul><li>BS/BA degree in environmental or process engineering or related discipline or advanced degree, combination of education and experience preferred</li><li>Sound knowledge of water technologies products, processes, technologies, Xylem company capabilities, competitive landscape, commercial &amp; financial issues applicable to the allocated export territories.</li><li>Excellent two-way communication skills to make competent written and verbal presentations of all Treatment products &amp; processes to customers by all communication methods. Linguistic capabilities in addition to English desirable </li><li>Strong customer focused account management, team management and relationship skills, ability to effectively coordinate, motivate &amp; influence others to achieve results without having solid line reporting relationships</li><li>Proven track record of success developing good customer / business partner relationships, and managing key contacts in major strategic accounts</li><li>Demonstrate appropriate cultural sensitivity appropriate to a broad range of international markets</li><li>Possess the ability to interact with international/inter-, intracompany work groups.</li><li>Full Driving Licence Essential Good IT skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and specific tools provided for customer relationship management /prospect tracking / on-line collaboration &amp; meeting</li><li>Frequent domestic and international business travel required </li><li>Strong current knowledge of key client / territory specific requirements, specifications, contractual &amp; financial issues.</li><li>Travel : min 50%</li></ul></div></div></div>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
