Experience with data analytics, automation, large language models, or programming is considered an asset.</li><li>Potential for a full-time offer upon graduation.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Participating in walkthroughs to understand business processes, key risks, systems, and related controls.</li><li>Performing and documenting control-testing procedures, organizing supporting evidence, and preparing clear, review-ready workpapers.</li><li>Analyzing structured and unstructured information from spreadsheets, system reports, policies, contracts, invoices, and other business records.</li><li>Assisting in the design and testing of AI-enabled workflows for document review, classification, summarization, evidence extraction, and control testing.</li><li>Translating audit procedures, policies, and business requirements into structured testing rules, prompts, templates, and validation criteria.</li><li>Reviewing AI-generated results for accuracy, completeness, source support, and consistency, and identifying matters requiring auditor judgment or additional review.</li><li>Developing or enhancing Excel workpapers, audit trackers, testing matrices, dashboards, and management-reporting outputs.</li><li>Help prepare audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders.</li><li>Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of audit work performed.</li><li>Performing research and other ad hoc assignments, as requested.</li></ul>Requirements &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Must be a rising junior or senior by the summer of 2027.</li><li>Enrolled in a degree related to business, data science, computer science, engineering or a related field. Recommended 3.5 Cumulative GPA.</li><li>Previous experience working in an office environment is required.</li><li>Interest in internal audit, consulting, and/or asset management.</li><li>Experience with large language models, prompt design, or workflow automation.</li><li>Exposure to data analytics or visualization tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.</li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Intellectual curiosity and an interest in learning about Brookfield's businesses, risks, and operating processes.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and be self-motivated with a positive attitude.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Must be available to work onsite in NYC throughout the duration of the internship and able to work well in a team environment.</li><li>Work visa sponsorship not offered for this role.</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>$25 per hour (USD)</li></ul>Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive.
