Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities<ul><li>Review quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS;</li><li>Prepares and assesses support used for the management discussion and analysis sections of the quarterly and annual reports and investor supplemental;</li><li>Leads the finance workstream relating to debt and equity security issuances initiated by the capital markets team by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders;</li><li>Assists with the annual budgeting process and ad hoc financial planning and analysis requests;</li><li>Provides assistance with ad hoc investor relations requests and annual investor day;</li><li>Has a skeptical mindset and wiliness to continuously learn to further understanding of accounting standards, business performance and industry trends;</li><li>Analyzes results and data received with skepticism and critical thinking to ensure it meets the appropriate financing reporting requirements and a willingness to challenge others as needed;</li><li>Directs the research, interpretation, and application of new accounting standards/guidelines to assess potential impacts on financial reporting activities including the financial statements and reporting structure;</li><li>Manage the external audit process including the corporate finance team during quarterly reviews and annual external audits to meet various deadlines;</li><li>Modifies existing and/or designs new processes that maximize operational efficiency including the implementation of new technology;</li><li>Owns internal controls for the financial reporting process to meet SOX requirements;</li><li>Fulfill ad hoc projects to assist with information requests, including for senior management and rating agencies;</li><li>Commitment to the development of the finance team through coaching and opportunities to promote an environment of continuous learning.  </li></ul>Key Requirements / Qualifications <ul><li>Professional designation: CA or CPA with 6–10 years of progressively senior experience in accounting or finance, including 2–3 years of people leadership.  </li><li>Technical expertise: Experience with consolidation software (e.g., OneStream) and familiarity with XBRL; background in renewable energy or asset management is considered an asset.  </li><li>Business &amp; analytical acumen: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights.  </li><li>Communication &amp; negotiation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex issues clearly and use tact, diplomacy, and strong negotiation skills to influence and build alignment.  </li><li>Leadership &amp; collaboration: Demonstrated leadership capability, initiative, and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels and with external stakeholders.
