You will be responsible for greeting community members, directing them on proper disposal guidelines, maintaining a safe and clean site, and operating site equipment.<p style="text-align:inherit;"><br><br> </p><h2><b>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b></h2><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><ul><li><p><b>Customer Service:</b> Warmly greet residents and provide clear, polite guidance on where to dispose of household waste, bulk items, and recyclable materials.</p></li><li><p><b>Site Maintenance:</b> Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility by sweeping, clearing debris, and picking up litter or spillage as needed.</p></li><li><p><b>Equipment &amp; Container Operations:</b> Safely operate and monitor facility equipment (such as trash compactors) according to company safety procedures. Monitor container fill levels throughout the day.</p></li><li><p><b>Driver Coordination:</b> Assist collection drivers with positioning, securing, or clearing area around waste containers during pickups.</p></li><li><p><b>Facility Operations:</b> Open and close the facility punctually according to the scheduled operating hours.</p></li><li><p><b>Compliance:</b> Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety standards, regulations, and company guidelines.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Basic Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li><p>Must be at least 18 years of age.</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with the public and team members.</p></li><li><p>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, safety procedures, and posted guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Basic math skills for general site reporting/tracking, if required.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands</b></h2><ul><li><p><b>Work Environment:</b> Performs duties outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) approximately 90% of the time. Exposure to typical waste facility sounds and outdoor elements.</p></li><li><p><b>Physical Demands:</b> Position involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and routine handling of materials.
