You will develop a point of view on where Phoenix Tailings should act, run critical workstreams, and guide opportunities from thesis through closing.<br><br>The ideal candidate combines strong transaction judgment with curiosity about technology, markets, and operations. You can challenge assumptions, coordinate senior stakeholders, and maintain momentum through the detailed work required to complete a deal.<br><br><br></span></div><div> </div></div></div><br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Develop and test theses for acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other growth opportunities.</li><li>Lead financial modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, and transaction recommendations.</li><li>Run diligence across finance, legal, technical, commercial, and operating workstreams.</li><li>Manage external advisers and maintain clear accountability for process, timing, and open issues.</li><li>Prepare and present recommendations to executives and the board.</li><li>Support negotiation strategy and lead key elements of documentation and closing.</li><li>Build relationships with potential partners, targets, investors, and market participants.</li><li>Define early integration or partnership operating plans so transaction logic carries into execution.</li><li>Coach junior team members and improve the quality of transaction analysis and process management.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications: </h3><ul><li>A typical candidate will have 4 to 7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, or strategic finance. We will consider candidates whose deal experience demonstrates comparable ownership.</li><li>Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis skills.</li><li>Experience leading material diligence or execution workstreams with senior stakeholders.</li><li>Strong investment judgment and the ability to form a clear recommendation from imperfect information.</li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.</li><li>Discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.</li><li>Experience in critical materials, mining, industrial technology, advanced manufacturing, or climate related industries is helpful.</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><div><div>This base salary range reflects our best estimate for this role.
