By combining predictive algorithms with human-centred design, Kaluza makes clean energy dependable, affordable and adaptive to everyday life.</p><p>With teams across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, and a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan, we power leading companies including OVO, AGL and ENGIE, as well as innovators like Volvo and Volkswagen.</p><p><strong>What will I be doing?</strong></p><ul><li>Own the People service desk queue day-to-day: triaging, responding to, and resolving employee queries, and keeping response times and queue health on track.</li><li>Continuously improve our Jira Service Desk itself - refining triage, workflows, and automations - and feed recurring ticket themes back into our People Bot's knowledge base, so the answers people get before they ever need a human just keep getting better.</li><li>Be the main point of contact for new joiners between offer and day one, partnering with Talent Acquisition to make pre-boarding seamless and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.</li><li>Own and continuously improve the onboarding experience end-to-end - from offer acceptance to day one and beyond - so every new hire feels genuinely welcomed and set up for success.</li><li>Support payroll inputs, benefits administration, and compliance activities, making sure our processes hold up against internal policy and employment law requirements.</li><li>As you grow into the role: help audit and redesign People processes, identifying where automation, AI, or self-service can reduce manual effort and put information directly in employees' hands.</li><li>Roll up your sleeves on cross-functional People projects as they come up - whether that's a Reward cycle, a hiring initiative, or an experience improvement.</li></ul><p><strong>About You </strong></p><p>Ideally, you'll have/be:</p><ul><li>Some experience in a People Operations or HR administrative role, with a genuine interest in how operational rigour underpins the employee lifecycle.</li><li>Hands-on comfort with a HRIS, ideally Workday - confident entering and updating records accurately as part of onboarding and lifecycle admin, even if deeper reporting and analysis isn't your focus.</li><li>A naturally curious, detail-oriented approach to data - happy to flag something that looks off, even while you're still building the experience to know exactly why.</li><li>Some exposure to payroll input processes, or strong eagerness to learn them, with the attention to detail accurate processing demands.</li><li>Some experience administering employee benefits (enrolment, changes, queries), and comfortable being a point of contact when something needs sorting.</li><li>A habit of noticing when a process is clunky and saying so - you don't need to have led a full redesign yet, but you think about <em>why</em> something works the way it does.</li><li>Experience using a service desk tool (Jira or similar) to manage and triage a queue, with a good instinct for keeping things moving and knowing what needs escalating.</li><li>Awareness of compliance and employment law basics, and the judgment to flag rather than guess when something feels off.</li><li>Clear, warm communication - equally comfortable writing to a nervous new joiner as flagging something to a manager.</li></ul><p><br>What will set you apart:</p><ul><li>You're curious about what AI and automation can do for People Operations, and you're already poking at tools and forming opinions rather than waiting to be told to explore what's next.</li><li>You hold yourself to a high bar, and you'll say so if you think something could be better - even if you're not yet the one leading the fix.</li><li>You share what you know and keep people in the loop - a new joiner never feels like they're chasing you for answers.</li></ul><h3><strong>Where you'll work<br></strong></h3><div>We offer flexible working, with an expectation of 3 days a week in the office.
