Contractor Management<ul><li>Support safe and reliable wind farm operations, including oversight of site personnel and contractors, and assist with the development and implementation of site procedures and policies. </li><li>Lead and direct on-site contractors and ensure work is performed in accordance with Longroad's safety, operational, and performance expectations. </li><li>Lead by example to ensure compliance with Longroad's processes, procedures, policies, and Code of Conduct. </li><li>Serve as the Operations Manager's designated backup during periods of absence, assuming responsibility for day-to-day site operations, safety oversight, contractor direction, and operational decision-making to ensure continuity of the facility.</li></ul>Financial, Contract &amp; Regulatory Management<ul><li>Support the development, monitoring, and management of the site's operating budget and forecasts, including tracking expenditures, identifying variances, and supporting cost-control initiatives. </li><li>Manage site contracts and warranties in accordance with Longroad's standards and business interests. </li><li>Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements, including environmental and NERC/FERC requirements.</li></ul>Stakeholder Management &amp; General Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local utilities, regulatory agencies, local government and community representatives, landowners, and other site stakeholders. </li><li>Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to support site operational priorities and resolve issues as needed. </li><li>Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager or other leadership.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>At least three years of experience in operations and maintenance of a wind or energy facility.</li><li>At least one year of supervisory experience.</li><li>Experience supporting budgets, cost control, and project or work-order management.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to work at heights and able to perform the essential physical functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including climbing 300-foot wind turbines, lifting 50 lbs. overhead, and meeting the safety-gear weight requirement of 310 lbs. or less.</li><li>Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize work in a dynamic operating environment.</li><li>Proficient computer and software skills, with an emphasis on office applications.</li><li>Valid driver’s license.</li><li>24/7 on-call availability.</li></ul>Desired/Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Technical 2-4 year college degree or comparable certifications.</li><li>Experience with wind turbine operations, substation or high-voltage systems, balance-of-plant work, NERC/FERC compliance, and OEM warranty administration.</li><li>Experience leading cross-functional initiatives focused on safety, reliability, availability, cost control, or operational performance improvement.</li><li>Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work-order systems is strongly preferred.</li></ul>Characteristics Necessary for Success <ul><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and operational demands.</li><li>Collaborative and team-oriented, with a positive and solutions-focused approach.</li><li>Demonstrates personal accountability, integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to Longroad standards.</li><li>Leads by example and promotes a safety-first, team-oriented, and inclusive work environment.</li><li>Makes informed decisions quickly and effectively in a dynamic operating environment.</li><li>Communicates clearly and professionally with employees, contractors, landowners, utilities, regulators, and community stakeholders.</li><li>Builds trust through follow-through, collaboration, transparency, and professional conduct.</li><li>Shows enthusiasm for renewable energy and a continuous improvement mindset towards site operations.</li></ul>Benefits of Working at Longroad Energy We are dedicated to providing our employees with the support and resources they need to stay healthy, secure their future, and be successful in their careers.
