Roles & Responsibilities
Develop the first prototype of Lightship’s on-board infotainment system to deliver a seamless, unified, and delightful RVing experience
Use web-type technologies (e.g. Node.js, React) to program a UI demonstrator
Develop and execute a software test suite to ensure infotainment system reliability
Use your UI/UX skills to collaborate with the product team and external designers and create a new vehicle experience built around the vision of a modern road trip
Collaborate with software integration engineering to select hardware (display, infotainment computer) and bring up infotainment / vehicle controls data pipeline
Research and build demonstrators for novel, software-based RV experiences (e.g., RV tours in VR)
Prior Experience & Professional Qualities
BS or above in computer science
Strong knowledge of Unix / Linux operating systems
Experience working with designers to develop a pixel-perfect front end
You are an experienced hacker and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to your work: comfortable with uncertainty, you create value by solving problems for others
Experience developing for hardware that receives over-the-air firmware updates and communicates over wire (e.g. backend server) and wirelessly (e.g. smartphone)
You have worked in a production environment for consumer-facing software
