Job Description

Redaptive is searching for an entrepreneurial and experienced business leader to build and lead its electric vehicle product offerings. This individual will build Redaptive’s fleet electrification as a service platform, working with relevant teams and partners to develop and document a repeatable process to develop proposals, develop OEM supply chain relationships, build out Redaptive’s fleet maintenance platform and secure utility and federal incentives. Longer term, this individual will help drive the platform’s profitability and helping to mitigate project underperformance.    Reporting to the Director of Commercial Product, this individual works closely with the company’s C-Suite and across teams to clearly articulate platform needs and to develop recommendations for future corporate investments. This individual drives Redaptive’s strategy for partnership engagement, prioritizing electric markets, and addressing unmet market needs. 
A successful Electric Vehicle Product Manager understands how to leverage themselves through partnerships, hiring, and outsourcing where necessary. They thrive on building new platforms and working across organizations to deliver customer value and must balance commercial needs with risk mitigation.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop short-, medium-, and long-strategy for fleet electrification offering across Redaptive C&I customers
  • Identify key capability or process gaps in current organization to develop, propose, and underwrite fleet electrification deals 
  • Oversee development and implementation of new platform, including through key partnerships, hires, or other initiatives
  • Build out vendor and supply chain relationships to be able to fulfill both equipment (vehicles, chargers, etc.) and long-term maintenance needs
  • Individual is expected to be highly motivated, and a high performing leader in the organization who is capable, and willing, to manage and develop other individuals
  • Clearly communicate and document progress, processes, resource gaps, and proposed solutions or investments
  • Facilitate the creation of go-to-market strategy, collateral content, and campaigns in close collaboration with Sales and Solutions teams 
  • Address internal escalations for complex transactions projects, working directly with customers or vendors when pulled in by Sales or Delivery teams
  • Continuously streamline and optimize operations as platform scales with a business-minded eye toward balancing growing profitability and reducing risk 

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience developing proposals in the EV industry, with expertise on C&I Fleets, partnership ecosystem, policy incentives and electricity market regulations. Experience with LCVs, MCVs and HCVs are all valuable
  • Multiple years of experience with experience working with EV OEMs, EV Charger OEMs and EV/EV Charger Software
  • Strong business leadership experience with excellent communication skills, having driven cross-departmental alignment to deliver commercial results.
  • Experience working through contracting complexities including negotiating incentives, maintenance contracts, and EV charger deployments. Strong financial credentials and ability to work with project finance team to close project funding
  • Experience with EV fleet management, fleet leasing, or experience successfully financing EV Fleet projects/portfolios are all a plus
  • Intimate understanding of industry landscape and ability to identify, evaluate and onboard partners to build out the EV Fleet ecosystem. 
  • Demonstrated relentlessness towards driving customer value and providing differentiation in excellent service. 
  • Driven, hard-working individual with high standards for self and others. 
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future
