Job Description

Cloverly is growing and we are looking for an experienced front end engineer to join us and help us help organizations fund the most impactful carbon projects across the world. In this role, you will be responsible for developing user experiences that delight our users and make buying and selling carbon credits a breeze on our marketplace. Under your care, our applications and components will be robust and easy to maintain. While the primary emphasis is on our front-end stack built in React, you will be a great fit if you are familiar and comfortable in a full-stack team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing new user-facing features using React.js
  • Collaborating with Back End teammates to establish API contracts and coordinate on new feature development
  • Work closely with product and design to translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
  • Optimizing components for design and performance across an array of responsive widths, browsers, devices
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries to support multiple applications

  • An eye for good user experience, and a desire to go the extra mile to make users’ lives easier
  • Deep experience using RESTful APIs
  • Strong proficiency in JS, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Proficiency in CSS, Nested SASS, Mixins, Variables, & Operators
  • Experience with Typescript is a nice plus
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles, experience with React Query, Hooks, and with workflows such as Flux
  • Interest in keeping up with the latest frameworks, build pipelines, and tools e.g. NextJS,  Gatsby, Apollo, GraphQL
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
  • You set a high standard for yourself and for others. You are able to balance speed, complexity, and scope to achieve broader goals
  • Curiosity, a strong desire to lean in and take ownership, and a penchant for helping and guiding fellow team members

LOCATION: Atlanta, or remote in USA or Canada
