For owner-operators, reliance on manually collected and analyzed data makes it difficult to optimize fleet performance in real-time. By providing a unified data platform that leverages machine learning, Nautilus helps its clients make better decisions to maximize the return on each ship and every voyage. For our clients, this means they drive closer collaboration, greater transparency, and stronger accountability across their global teams every day.
About you.You are an experienced seller, who is empathetic, technically-minded, and analytical with expertise in technology sales throughout the APAC region. You can easily build, or already have, the professional relationships required to successfully build and maintain a strong book of business in the ocean shipping industry. And since you will be our first sales hire in Singapore, joining a small and growing team, you will also need to be a self-starter, and comfortable working remotely from the larger team (predominantly based in NYC today).
This role requires experience with a consultative selling approach, requiring a robust discovery into client workflows and processes in order to quantify the value of Nautilus Platform. The ideal candidate has a track record of helping clients quantify return on investment from software and building business cases to justify an investment in technology. You are able to build trust, eloquently negotiate contract terms, understand client points of view, adapt to change, and promote new opportunities for clients to realize return on their Nautilus usage.
To start, this means being a rockstar individual contributor, who is not afraid to roll up her/his sleeves, get creative, and find innovative and personalized ways to secure meetings with new prospective clients. Long-term, this means having the passion and desire to exceed sales targets, develop deep trusted relationships with our clients, and coach up and mentor new members of the Sales team in Singapore as we grow. While you will have clear KPIs focused on securing and growing revenue streams, you will collaborate closely with Client Success, Business Development, and Product, in order to ensure the long-term success of the clients that you bring onto Nautilus Platform.
As a Client Executive you have at least 10 years of experience working in a quota-carrying sales role, preferably selling to enterprise clients with dynamic procurement processes and multi-stakeholder deal cycles.
