We need talented, hardworking individuals who share our goal of tackling the challenge of climate change. Do you want to work with us today to build a better tomorrow?
Role Description:The Senior Manager, Test Operations, will lead, manage, mentor, and be hands-on supporting the battery test engineers and technicians to test and develop our core technology and associated system components in a growing battery and systems test team.
This will involve supporting the development of the test lab, developing and improving test processes and procedures, setting performance metrics across the team, and managing the team against deliverables.
In this role, you will closely collaborate with technology development and technical operations teams, from understanding their needs, translating complex battery test protocols into test schedules, identifying gaps in the process, equipment, and capabilities, and helping to define solutions to communicating results.

  • Define what test processes and scripts are required to meet test protocols, and provide technical direction to deliver these on time
  • Coordinate with the Data Engineering team to understand and lead opportunities to enable seamless data analysis and data entry
  • Interact with other engineering groups to lead the definition, documentation, investigation, execution, and post-analysis of tests at component and system levels
  • Lead efforts to track the performance of weekly metrics and present data based on statistical analysis tools that identify performance and test stand variability

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in an engineering and technology test and validation environment with three years of management experience
  • Experience with test and validation hardware and test methods such as environmental, and electrical reliability, preferably with battery cycling test experience (e.g., Arbin/Maccor systems)
  • Experience with Python scripting, MATLAB, statistical analysis, and using tools such as Minitab or JMP (beneficial)
  • Experience with lean techniques such as Six Sigma
  • Laboratory safety and operation knowledge
  • Well-develop collaboration and communication skills and willingness to share ideas, contributing to organizational and technical problem solving
  • Passion for our mission, sustainability, and fighting climate change
